How Do I Access the New Projectmates Application? #

Access the new Projectmates application by going to a new address in your Projectmates instance. See the example below:

https://ClientName.Projectmates.com/app

When Is the New Projectmates Application Going to Launch? #

We’ll be launching the beta test of the new Projectmates application around the 3rd quarter. Limited spots are available but we are still looking for partners to test this application.

Will There Be New Features and Modules in This New Application? #

There are plenty of new features and enhancements, however, no new major modules have been added. We really focused on the user experience, to standardize features and ensure the design is more user-friendly than the classic application.

When Will the Current Version of Projectmates Retire? #

The sunsetting of the current (or classic) version is currently undetermined.

When Will the New Application Be Available to All Customers? #

The new Projectmates application will be available to all customers in the first quarter of 2023.

Will We Still Be Able to Use the Classic Version of Projectmates? #

Yes, there is a period of time that you will be able to use both software applications simultaneously.

Can I Use Old and New at the Same Time Until I Am Used to the New Projectmates? #

Yes, there is a period of time that you will be able to use both software applications simultaneously.

If I Am a Beta Tester, Does My Entire Company Have to Be Involved? #

The answer is two-fold:
  1. You do not have to work in the new application but all data entered into the Classic Application will automatically be entered into the New Application.
  2. However, any automated emails from workflows will generate links that will take the user into the New Application for response.

Please be sure to let all of your project stakeholders know about the beta testing before they receive an email.

Do I Need to Update My Data in Both Systems? #

You can enter your data on either platform and it will update both systems. No double-data entry is required.

What Happens to All of Our Current and Historical Project Data? #

You can access your current and historical data using the new Projectmates application. The data will be transferred seamlessly so you do not need to archive and re-enter the data in the new application.

Do We Have to Move to the New Application? #

Once the classic version of Projectmates phases out, all clients will be using the new Projectmates application.

How Much Workflow Has Changed and Will I Need to Relearn Projectmates? #

The new software mimics the current version, so you’ll find that the workflow is essentially the same.  However, we have added a ton of user experience enhancements for you.

Will You Offer Training on This New Version? #

While this new application is designed to have a cleaner, more intuitive layout we will be offering online training, webinars, short videos, and a new knowledge base. Since the application is designed to be much more user-friendly and the processes are the same, it will be more natural for you to use so you may find you don’t need much training.  Additionally, this site provides many step-by-step help articles and short help videos for you.

Can I Apply to Be a Beta Tester? #

Yes, you can apply to be a Beta tester. There are limited seats available. Please contact Sharon Peterson for full details at 214-217-4100 ext.118 or sharon.peterson@systemates.com.

Are There Any Features That Will Be Discontinued or Become Legacy Features? #

The prime contract modules and the work order module will sunset.

Where or How Do I Submit Feedback? #

You can provide all feedback to the following email address:  appfeedback@systemates.com.
